The first of the four tutorials I will be uploading.

This design is created on a 5″ x 7″ card blank and you will also need an extra piece of smooth stamping card to stamp the daisies a second time.

I’ve also used the Word Fragments set.

Firstly I’ve stamped the Five Daisies stamp directly onto the card base with Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Put this to one side and if you have clear embossing powder and a heat tool, stamp and emboss a second daisy image onto the piece of smooth stamping card. By doing this it allows the image to be coloured with distress oxide in without muting the black outline. If you don’t want to emboss you can stamp onto coloured card or paper or pre colour you card first however you choose then stamp over the colour.

Once you have your second stamped image fussy cut it out.

Cut away the leaves.

Colour using a finger dauber, sponge or blender, I used distress oxide squeezed lemonade. If you’ve embossed your image any ink with polish away from the black outline.

To keep the daisy centres white cover while you colour with a piece of paper towel.

Add definition with mustard seed distress oxide and a cotton bud or mini blending brush.

For the daisy centres I used cotton wool because I couldn’t find my white “puffy stuff” so I was resourceful!

Shape your daisies with a bone folder or shaping tool.

Put this to one side and now we will focus back on the card base. I used a couple of stamps from the following sets to stamp texture, background images. Stamping with mustard seed distress oxide and versafine clair nocturne but for the black I stamped in second generation ink so it wasn’t too harsh.

Old Tag stamp set – Woodware

Pocket watches – Woodware

If you don’t have this type of stamps you can use mark making techniques with bubble wrap and bottle tops –

Printed with mustard seed distress oxide and small bubble bubble wrap.

Large bubble wrap.

Second and third generation stamping with a milk bottle top.

Stamping with versafine clair nocturne, first and second generation.

Alternatively you could add some more daisies if you don’t want to do the mark making or background/texture stamping.

Using foam pads adhere your coloured stamped daisies on top of the main card image.

I finished with the Kindness sentiment from the Word Fragments set.

Hope you enjoy creating, Happy crafting!
