As a Trimcraft Maker I recently received a pack of their Nova Metallic Markers to test and review.

The first thing that struck me was the neat wallet they come in and its colour coded label for instant identification.

The markers are bullet tip and comfortable to hold.

I really love their smooth fluid application and the gorgeous colours, Gold, Silver, Blue, Green, Pink and Purple.

Now I’m not a colourist and my writing is hideous so I don’t do lettering!

So I thought about the different ways crafters could use these pens and the first project I have completed is an altered embroidery hoop featuring a stamped image that has been coloured with the Nova Metallic Markers.

I stamped and embossed the mandala image with a marcasite colour powder onto smooth white stamping card.

I was concerned that the pens may have bled through the stamping card onto the reverse but no there was no bleed through at all.

I found the markers easy to use to colour the sections of the mandala image and also quite speedy with the bullet tip. They gave a smooth coverage and the colours work together so well.

I also coloured the reverse of the image for this project.

I decided that this coloured mandala image needed to be the centre focus of a project so the embroidery hoop works well to frame the design and make it into a lovely hanging decoration.

I used some netting to attach the mandala to the hoop.

I embossed and coloured a second mandala so that when hanging as an decoration the reverse side would look the same. Once attached I added some embroidery threads for hanging.

I’m now off to see what other craft projects I can use these fab markers…
